Ian Wing

Romana's Pilates Instructor

Ian Wing completed his teacher training under the guidance of Cynthia Lochard, the World's Level 1 Grand Master teacher trainer (one of three in the world).

10 Years of Teaching Experience

Ian's journey into Pilates began in 2009 when he was looking for a form of exercise to help alleviate a chronic back issue. It wasn’t long before the benefits of Pilates improved his back as well strengthened his core.

Determined to turn his newfound passion into a career, Ian transitioned from the corporate world to the realm of Pilates. In 2014, he earned a Certificate IV in Matwork Instruction from Pilates International Training Centre, marking the beginning of his professional journey.

His passion for Pilates further deepened when he discovered Romana Pilates – the original, classical method with direct lineage to Joseph Pilates. Under the mentorship of Cynthia Lochard, Ian completed his advanced training in 2019 and achieved certification as a Level V Romana Pilates instructor.

A unique blend of expertise in both movement and nutrition

Ian graduated with a bachelor’s degree in food science from the University of New South Wales, where he developed a deep understanding of how nutrition impacts overall well-being. By combining his knowledge of health, fitness, and nutrition, Ian offers a holistic approach to wellness, ensuring a comprehensive and transformative experience for every client.
